CCW Requalification Course
Class fee: $250 (this does not include the fees to the county or state)
Class hours: 8a-5p
A minimum of two hours will be spent in the classroom and a minimum or two hours will be spent on the range.
In this course, we will discuss all the laws and regulations you need to know about carrying a concealed handgun in the state of California. We will also discuss a variety of carrying positions and their pros and cons. How to draw from concealment and other techniques. Emphasizing on holster work and shot placement. We will go over basic firearm safety and care.
Upon completion of the course you will receive your certification. Once you receive this you will go to the Merced County Sheriff’s website to upload your documents to reapply and schedule your appointment.
Requirements and Recommendations:
Classroom:
Bring your firearms and holsters but NO AMMO in the classroom. We will need to verify your serial numbers and do a gear check for the range. Note Taking Material (If you would like to take notes.)
Range:
Bring ALL firearms you want to qualify with (that you are putting on your permit), w/ 20 rounds per firearm for requalification test. IWB or OWB holster with cover garment and magazine carriers for 1 of your firearms for training. (The gear you are going to use when you carry daily), at least 2 magazines (bring more if you have them), 300 rounds of ammo to train with prior to qualification, ear protection (electronic recommended), eye protection, closed toe shoes, sunscreen, water, snacks if needed, hat with brim (you will be outdoors and in the sun)
